Phenomenal Women’s Health Inc. (PWH) was founded in May 2007 by Cheryl Burnside, a physical

therapist, who saw the need to influence the lives of women positively by promoting the importance

of living a healthier lifestyle. Phenomenal Women’s Health Inc. is a non-profit 501© (3) organization

dedicated to providing health-related information and services to underserved, underinsured, and

uninsured women. For the past five years, the organization has created opportunities for women

through its sponsorship of and participation in numerous community- based activities.

A highlight of its organizational efforts has been its annual themed “Teas for Health.” At these

one-day seminars, participants receive critical information regarding the seminar topic from

celebrated health professionals.

Additionally, PWH women hear life-changing stories from famous women guest speakers who are

survivors of their own health situations. PWH attendees who may be facing the same health

challenges or who may be close to someone going through a similar health situation are informed

and inspired.

Phenomenal Women’s Health Inc. has sponsored “Teas for Health” in shelters and in centers

that service women while providing a relaxing, nurturing environment for them as they are educated

regarding mental, physical, spiritual, and fiscal issues important to all women. As its eye-catching

logo proclaims, Phenomenal Women’s Health Inc. has a heart for women.

Phenomenal Women’s Health was created out of the need to positively influence the lives of women by promoting the importance of living a healthier lifestyle. Phenomenal Women’s Health’s first Hat and Glove Tea was held on June 9, 2007 – and it was a tremendous success! During this inaugural event, thirty remarkable women were nominated into our organization.

Phenomenal Women’s Health, Inc. mission is to empower women and improve their overall standard of living as they embrace positive attitudes and behaviors, devote more time for themselves and value the support of women who share common values and goals.

Our vision is to

To promote women’s health by serving as a catalyst through which underserved, underinsured, or uninsured women may become aware of the physiological, psychological, sociological, and spir-itual aspects of health and wellness;

 To provide a series of educational forums to educate and increase women’s awareness of various aspects of their total well-being;

 To volunteer time and resources to causes that promote the betterment of women’s health;

 To challenge women to be greater than what they can imagine through the process of self-discovery, the acceptance of themselves as a complete individual, and through love;

 To foster the networking of women to encourage healthy lifestyles by way of retreats for women that promotes their physical, mental, and spiritual growth;
